Four AI helpers on the owner's desk.
A forge owner in Ludhiana has no carbon team. These helpers read the bills, trace the supply chain to the coal, find the money and answer buyers. They work through the same engine that computes and signs the passport, and they never write a number of their own: every rupee, euro and tonne in an answer is traced to a tool result, or the answer is flagged.

Recorded runs are real runs of this helper, saved with their full trace. Live runs use Groq's free tier (8,000 tokens a minute), so a run can pause for a minute; if Groq is busy for longer, the page plays the recording and says so.

Play the recorded run, or run it live.
green numbers match a tool result; red ones do not, and the helper was asked once to rewrite.

The buyer's AI can ask too
CarbonSetu also runs as an MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the 2026-07-28 version), so an EU buyer's own AI assistant can list passports, request one for a stated purpose, verify it and rank suppliers by CBAM cost. What it receives follows the owner's disclosure policy for that purpose, never the AI's choice.
Tools: list_passports, request_passport(passport, purpose), verify_passport(sd_jwt), compare_suppliers(cn, tonnes, year). Any MCP client works; older clients that send initialize are answered too.
